Corrections and Retractions

ASPI journals publish a notice describing the changes when a correction is required and cite the source. To ensure accurate indexing, a correction in the form of a digital page included in either an electronic or printed Table of Contents is published. The journal additionally publishes an updated version of the article that notes the modifications of the original version and the date(s) when they were made. The article's previous versions are all supposed to be archived in case. Previous electronic versions note that there are more recent versions of the article. The citation changes to reflect the most recent revision.
Coding problems can cause widespread errors, leading to significant inaccuracies throughout an article. If such errors do not change the relevance or direction of the paper's findings, interpretations, and conclusions, a correction that meets the minimum requirements outlined above should be published.

Retractions may be necessary for severe errors to invalidate a paper's findings and conclusions. However, retraction with republication can be considered when an honest mistake (such as a misclassification or computation) significantly shifts the importance or direction of the findings, interpretations, or conclusions. Retraction and republication of the revised manuscript and an explanation enable complete correction of the scientific literature if the error is unintentional. For complete transparency, it is beneficial in these situations to outline the extent of the modifications in supplementary material or an appendix.
