Iranian Journal of War & Public Health (IJWPH) began publishing scholarly articles in 2008 and, over the years, has striven to publish high-quality articles in accordance with research and publication ethics guidelines. IJWPH is supported by the "Janbazan (Veterans) Medical and Engineering Research Center" (JMERC), the first research center in Iran dedicated to late-onset complications and the health effects of war, which has been studying this field since 1989. Producing knowledge on the health consequences of war is one of JMERC's main missions.
