This policy explains how Afarand (Afarand Scholarly Publishing Institute) collects, uses and protects personal information on the publisher website (daneshafarand.org) and in the online submission and peer-review system it operates. Each journal's website may give further information specific to that journal.
Afarand is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us through the contact form or by telephone at +90 552 671 94 39.
We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.
When an article is published, the authors' names, affiliations and ORCID iDs, and the corresponding author's contact details, appear on the article and in its metadata. Peer review in Afarand journals is confidential: reviewers' identities and reports are not published unless a journal states otherwise and the reviewer has agreed.
We keep account information while your account is active and delete it on request, unless it is needed to maintain the scholarly record or for an unresolved investigation. Published articles and their metadata are kept permanently as part of the scholarly record. Submission and review records are kept for as long as needed to run the journals and to answer questions about published work.
Under applicable data protection law, including Türkiye's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict its use, or withdraw consent you have given. Some information cannot be removed from published articles; changes to published work follow our Corrections and Retractions policy. To make a request, please use the contact details above.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. Manuscripts under review are treated as confidential, and editors and reviewers must not share them or upload them to generative AI tools.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
